Terms of sale

These terms apply when you buy from our online shop as a consumer in the UK. Please read them before you order. They don’t affect your legal rights. Wholesale and trade orders are agreed separately.

2. Our products
Ube Kinampay powder is a natural product made from purple yam, so its colour can vary slightly from one lot to the next. Photos on the site are a guide. Check the pouch label for ingredients, allergens and storage before use.
3. Prices and payment
Prices are in pounds sterling and include VAT where it applies. Online checkout isn’t open yet, so for now you order by email. We’ll reply with the total, including delivery, and a secure PayPal link to pay by card, or our bank details to pay by bank transfer, whichever you prefer. We only take payment once you’ve agreed the total.
If we’ve made an obvious mistake with a price, we’ll contact you before your order goes ahead. You can then choose to continue at the correct price or cancel for a full refund.
4. Your order
When you email us an order, we’ll reply to confirm availability, the total and how to pay. Our contract with you starts when we email to confirm your order. If we can’t fulfil an order, for example because a product is out of stock, we’ll let you know and refund anything you’ve paid in full.
5. Delivery
We deliver to UK addresses only. We’ll tell you the delivery charge and estimated delivery time when we reply to your order. Unless we agree a different time with you, we’ll deliver within 30 days of confirming your order.
Your order becomes your responsibility once it’s delivered to the address you gave us. If it arrives damaged or something is missing, please let us know as soon as you can.
6. Changing your mind
You can cancel your order within 14 days of delivery without giving a reason. For hygiene reasons, this doesn’t apply to pouches that have been opened. Our returns policy explains how to cancel and send items back.
7. If something is wrong
By law, the products we sell must be of satisfactory quality, fit for purpose and as described. If there’s a problem with your order, email hello@thousandisles.co.uk and we’ll put it right with a replacement or a refund. Our returns policy has the details.
8. Our responsibility to you
If we break these terms, we’re responsible for loss or damage you suffer that is a foreseeable result. We’re not responsible for loss or damage that isn’t foreseeable. We sell our products for domestic and private use, so we’re not responsible for business losses.
Nothing in these terms limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud or for anything else the law doesn’t allow us to limit.
9. Events outside our control
If something outside our reasonable control delays your order, we’ll tell you as soon as we can and do what we can to reduce the delay. If the delay is significant, you can cancel and we’ll refund anything you’ve paid for but not received.
10. Complaints and the law
If you have a problem, email hello@thousandisles.co.uk and we’ll do our best to resolve it quickly.
These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales. You can bring legal proceedings in the courts of England and Wales. If you live in Scotland or Northern Ireland, you can also bring them in the courts where you live.

We may update these terms from time to time. The terms that apply to your order are the ones shown here when you placed it.
